STEAM: A journey in search of excitements
The jellyfish is a symbol of the creativity and life that exist within every one of us, a representation of what cannot always be explained in words: a spirit of “play within your flow.” At the very heart of the Pavilion rises the "Tree of Creation."
The Jellyfish Pavilion is filled with the wonder of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics), a creative, hands-on, and interdisciplinary learning that reflects the way scientists, artists, and inventors live their lives. Through playful experiences that engage all five senses, the Pavilion aims to spark the courage to take a new step forward, to nurture confidence and joy in discovering that each of us can co-create a fragment of our shared future.
The thematic project “Invigorating Lives” uses the Expo as a chance to launch a great transformation in how we learn, play, create, and live. It stirs and connects the world by bringing together people of every age, from 0 to 120: those who cannot see or with low-vision, those who cannot hear or are hard of hearing, those who use wheelchairs, those unable to leave the hospital, those who struggle to express themselves in words, people of every nationality, ethnicity, gender, role, and personality, from babies to grandparents, even insects, plants, animals, birds, jellyfish, and objects. All are mixed together toward a future society where diverse life shines.
“The Joy of Creation for All! — The Democratization of Creativity.”
The entire Jellyfish (KURAGE) Team looks forward to meeting you, both on this journey, and at the Pavilion itself.

Uniform
The KURAGE (Jellyfish) Team’s symbol mark has been transformed into uniforms. Each uniform is made with its own unique pattern!
To express each individual’s uniqueness, the textile designs were simulated using a design application. The uniforms incorporate the sense of playfulness that the Jellyfish Pavilion values.
There is no single prescribed way of wearing them; instead, they allow room for playful freedom, enabling each person to style and adapt them as they like, whether indoors or outdoors.
The design concept also integrates Mizuno Corporation’s strengths in sports technology, ensuring comfort, no matter where the wearer is or what they plan to do. This special design was created by wedding dress designer MIZUNO Shinshiro.

Symbol Story
The symbol of the Jellyfish Project was born through the many ideas and creative processes of the Jellyfish Team. One day, a diverse group of companions gathered, played together in an improvised, music-filled session, and ended up joyfully covered in paint. From the mural created that day, the team envisioned a space unique to the Pavilion.
The resulting symbol emerged through a participatory “anonymous creator” design process, embodying the Pavilion’s core message: “The joy of creation for all!” It features eight distinctive colors, each carrying its own meaning.
