Possibilities of Natural Pigments (Canada Pavilion × Joshibi University of Art and Design × OCAD University, Canada)
A workshop introducing the “submicron natural pigments” developed by Professor Emeritus HASHIMOTO of Joshibi University of Art and Design will be held as part of an international collaborative project with OCAD University in Canada.
Participants will experience making paints using natural pigments sourced in Canada and painting them onto paper fans. This is a hands-on opportunity to learn about sustainable and environmentally friendly materials for creative expression.
The program will also introduce footage of local quarrying in Canada and the inter-university exchange, highlighting the significance of utilizing natural resources and fostering cross-cultural collaboration.
This initiative resonates deeply with the values of the Jellyfish Pavilion.
